Olivia's 8 month journal and pictures

Dear Uncles and Aunties,

Happy Spring!

I'm 8 months old now and grow stronger and smarter everyday. Look, I even defeated a little tiger and was chewing on its tail :) I love to play and my favorite game is hide and seek--see how excited I was when I found where daddy is!

Wishing you enjoy the gentle warmth and flowers' fragrances in this spring season (no allergies...)!

Olivia

Dear Uncles and Aunties,

I'm reaching 7 months today! Look, I can sit now without assistant (this just happened this morning!)

I continue to grow bigger and stronger. My head (80%) grows much faster than my weight (35%) and length (52%). Mom always calls me "big head, big ears, big eyes, little Olivia". I respond to her with smiles whenever I hear she calls me that way.

My favorite playmate is daddy. I love to sit on his tummy and play with him. I also favor him more than any other people. Even grandpa and grandma spend more time with me, I'm still reaching out my arms to daddy whenever I see him. That makes him feel so good and proud!

Wishing you all happy and healthy tiger year!
Olivia

Happy Chinese New Year from Olivia

Dear Uncles and Aunties,

Warm greetings from Olivia!

Time flies. I'm already 6 months old now! Becoming more and more demanding, I can't be easily satisfied by feeding and holding. I need entertainment and interactions. Mom and dad have to figure out new ways everyday to meet my big curiosity appetite. In return, I'm rewarding them with sweet smiles and lot of laughters.

I have started solid food a couple weeks ago and now I'm a master of eating cereals. In general, I'm an easy baby but sometimes I do show some temper too. I even scream and make big noises when I'm unhappy.

I can't wait to grow bigger and being able to sit and talk :)

With love and delighted heart,
Olivia

Dear Uncles and Aunties,

Happy holidays!

Tonight is the debut of my very first Christmas party at church and I behaved just like a little lady: I dressed up pretty, was calm and happy, hardly cried.

Turning to 5 months old, I have picked up so many new skills: I can use my tiny fingers to put back the pacifier if it drops off my mouth; my eyes and head are following mommy when she runs in and out of the room; I laugh loudly when daddy plays peekaboo; I can make complicated sounds to express different motions; I may even sit momentarily without assistance; I'm showing strong interests in what adults eat-my mom wonders if I'm craving for solid food but with the possibility of constipation, she hesitates to give me that yet...

In general, I'm a happy, healthy and easy baby so far. But hey daddy and mommy, I may surprise you later, so be prepared!

With love and sweet smiles,
Olivia
